What's that feeling? Oh, it's the 'oh shit, I'm an adult now feeling.' What's that you say? You don't know how you got here and frankly you are looking for the nearest route to the eject button? Don't worry you aren't alone. As surprising as that may seem, after dreaming and fantasizing about becoming an adult for the last ten years (maybe even eighteen!), adulthood isn't exactly what's it's cracked up to be. Right? No one warned you there isn't a constant surplus of money anymore and missing class from a hangover isn't the same as missing work. Bosses frown upon things like that.
But, seriously. No on prepares you for becoming an adult. Which means you will inevitably feel like a failure, or that you aren't good enough, or that surely all of your friends are way ahead of you, or any multitude of horrendously negative things you are sure prove your adult ineptitude. You aren't alone. That is exactly like what learning to be an adult looks like... because it is LEARNING to be an adult. No one enters into adulthood as this magical perfect adult.
